It is a biochar filter to remove contaminants from water. Water is circulated with a solar powered system (other options available).
The filter can be on shore on the land or scalable as a floating filter with a submersible water pump that brings the water inside, allowing the water to pass through the biochar where the nutrients and contaminants are retained by the biochar.

The typical BioFilter has a capacity of 5 cy of Biochar and needs to be replaced when saturated, typically from 3 to 6 months.
The porous structure of the Biochar has excellent adsorption and absorption properties. Depending on the feedstock used to create the biochar, it can remove all sorts of nutrients such as Nitrates, Ammonia, Phosphorus, Potassium, Calcium, Magnesium and other elements such as heavy metals, organic compounds.
